The 2012 MTV Video Music Awards nominations list has been revealed and the leaders with 5 each are Rihanna and Drake which comes as no surprise. Rihanna’s good friend Katy Perry follows with four nominations while Frank Ocean, Beyonce, Jay-Z/Kanye West, M.I.A and Coldplay have 3 nominations each.
The 2012 MTV Video Music Awards will take place on September 6th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Performers confirmed so far are Alicia Keys and One Direction.

Dizzee Rascal made history when he came out last night during the Olympic opening ceremony. The rapper from Bow, East London performed ‘Bonkers’ for a segment of the Danny Boyle directed masterpiece.
