Mitch and Suave thought we’d do things a little different this time, instead of doing press like we usually do at these type of events we decided to cover this years Wireless Festival from a fans perspective. We attended Wireless on the second day with Etta Bond x Raf Riley and got the chance to take some snaps of some of UK’s finest MC’s including Joe Black, Margs, J2K, Rascals behind the SB.TV stage.

On the 3rd and final day, Mitch and Suave attended the event again with some of our close friends to get a feel of the festival properly. Talents such as Sinead Harnett, Arsenal FC player Zak Ansah, Marvyn Harrison and many more posed and said a few words for the camera. We also filmed some wild footage which will be up on the site very soon.

My thoughts on the festival is that it was a blinding success. There were some criticisms about it moving from Hyde Park to the Olympic Park. Firstly because Hyde had become the traditional spot for Wireless and secondly because the walks from the 3 small stages to the main stage were 15 minutes apart. Other than the quest’s in the scorching sun, the music and vibe was perfect.

Day 3 probably stood out for us as the line-up was epic. Nas gave the crowd that real hip-hop in which they responded with great delight. A$AP Rocky’s performance let us down to be honest with him performing with backing vocals, proving that he still has a lot to learn as a performer. Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake, the Legends of the Summer, however lived up to the hype and more. Going back-to-back with their classic hits as well as performing the new stuff made this a festival for the history books. Rihanna then coming out with a slow but arrogant bop to “Run This Town” was the icing on the cake.

For anyone who’s looking to attend Wireless in the future we highly recommend it. Mitch and Suave Approved.
